To be in the Church – to be the disciple of Christ

Project of Spiritual Life in Fimiam Church
One of the most important questions in modern Christianity is the following: “How to bring up true Christians?” This means that the Church has to be genuine i.e. not just formal, but true and full of life. We find the answer in the Scripture, looking at Jesus’ ministry.
Starting on January 1, 2012 a project of spiritual life called “To Be in the Church Is to Be a Student” will be launched in Fimiam Church. Through implementation of this project we will have a better communication with people and pass on Gospel teaching to them. This will lead the Church to spiritual growth and also motivate people to personally study the Bible and lead others to Christ.
This Project will be accomplished in two ways:
1. By means of studying the Gospel of Luke during home Church meetings. We will pay particular attention to the way Jesus taught His Disciples.
2. By means of reading the Bible together according to daily reading schedule. Sunday sermons will also be related to the Biblical texts the Church had been reading during the previous week
The daybook of the Church’s spiritual life will contain:
• Introduction to every Bible Book to be studied by the Church (there will be presented information about the author; to whom and why the Book was written; circumstances historical and geographic background; the Book’s objective and theme).
• Pictures of the Church members and dates of their birthdays.
• List of the Church members and their telephone numbers.
• Prayer list and weekly planner.
• Place for notes and thoughts inspired by God during daily reading of the Bible.
People who followed Jesus were mostly His disciples. For the modern Church we also need to be Christ’s disciples in order to become true Church and for Christians to be true Christians. We will be able to be His disciples and to lead others to Him only when we learn from Him. Join us!
