Ivanov Mark needs your help
Parents could not understand for a long time why their second son Mark does not react when they communicate with him. But at the age of eighteen months he was diagnosed with duplex sensory and neurological deafness. Mark was born deaf, but doctors can not state the reason of it.
Mark is very special in his family, gentle like a kitten. He is two years old now. He is a very active boy, good developed for his age. He is very interested in life, but the more he grows the deeper the problem arises with his deafness. Mark wears hearing aid equipment, but with such a severe loss of hearing, he would not be able to hear and learn to speak. He wants to do it: he opens the mouth to speak, shows something with his facial expression, but he will not be able to do it unless he hears the sounds. At the moment there is only one way out – cochlear implant. But young parents of three children are not financially able to buy this equipment, as one implant costs in average 25000ˆ in Ukraine and Europe. Doctors explained that a child will not be different from others in respect to speaking and development after surgery. The sooner the implant is fixed the larger the chances are for a boy to start speaking; as the ability to talk is getting weaker with time. Parents are concerned and pray for their son.
