Earlier I live as a normal person: I went for sports, playing soccer and other sports. I finished school and entered the professional school. Everything went well until I tried drugs as a 15-year-old.

I can not say that my whole life changed when I first tried drugs. I had family problems, but obeyed my parents and everything appeared to be good. I was on drugs until I was 19 years old. Then I had to go serve in the army for a year and a half. I did not use injections while in the service, but I did smoke drugs. I began to work when I came back from the army. I worked for 4 months and also used drugs several times. Then I began to realize that I became more and more dependent on drugs. I realized that I am in the system.

My work was not a priority. I began to steal money from my parents and other people.

I became a lost drug addict.

Once I ended up in the hospital. When I was told that I was HIV-positive and that I would live only one more year, I began to think over my life.

Once Christian guys came to me and told that Christ had changed their lives. After conversations with them, I understood one truth: if God was able to change their lives He could do it for me too! He could do it for me if I asked Him for forgiveness of my sins: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1John 1:9

I knelt down and asked Jesus Christ to come into my life in a simple prayer. I believed in Him and devoted myself to Him.

I learned about the rehabilitation center Transformation and I took the course of rehabilitation. I was baptized after that and promised to serve God for the rest of my life. Now, I am a member of Fimiam Church and I serve the people who come for rehabilitation.

I thank God that He gave me this desire to serve such people, people like I was earlier. God gave me something I could not imagine: love, joy and peace in my heart.
